Annotation:

The book by Kuzmin R.O., professor of the Leningrad Hydrotechnical Institute, is the first in Russian, according to the Bessel function. The material of the books is divided into three chapters: in the first chapter, the author gives a concise presentation of the theory of the Eulerian integral of the second kind (Gamma function) and its connection with the integral of the first kind (Beta function), focusing in more detail on the conclusion of those results that are the most important. The second and third chapters are devoted to the Bessel functions themselves and their applications. In them, the author gives: solutions to the Bessel differential equation, various types of these solutions and shows how Bessel himself came to the equation. There are tables of Bessel functions at the end of the book.
