Annotation:

The main purpose of the book is to reveal precisely the geometric essence of the concepts of Riemannian geometry. At the same time, the path of greatest resistance is often chosen in the sense that the reader is required to work on geometric representations, despite the temptation to bypass them and limit himself to the analytical side of the matter. The author considered it necessary to give not only the basic concepts, but also to show Riemannian geometry in action, analyzing at least some particular issues that are fundamentally quite interesting, and moreover not very elementary. In this regard, a chapter on conformal-Euclidean and constant curvature spaces is placed.
