This book "Introduction to the Theory of functions of a complex variable" is based on lectures given by I.Privalov at the I Moscow University. The theory of functions of a complex variable, the foundations of which were created by the classical works of Cauchy, Riemann and Weierstrass, has attracted the attention of a large number of researchers until recently. In compiling this manual, the author has set himself the goal of giving the reader a rigorous and at the same time clear presentation of the elements of this very extensive and important branch of mathematical science, simultaneously outlining more complex modern problems of complex analysis. The textbook is divided into three chapters: the third, devoted to linear and other elementary transformations, the twelfth, containing the general principles of the theory of conformal images, and the thirteenth, which discusses the general properties of single-leaf functions.
