The Riemann zeta function plays an extremely important role in number theory. Titchmarsh's book systematically outlines the basic properties of the zeta function, the book contains all the most important facts in this field. This work relates only to the theory of the zeta function itself, without considering the applications of the latter to the theory of prime numbers. These appendices will form the content of one of the subsequent issues, authored by A.E.Ingham. And the beginning of chapter IV is taken with minor changes from the Bohr-Littlewood manuscript. The book can be recommended to graduate students in mathematics, undergraduates and those specializing in number theory.
