Annotation:

The period from 1800 to 1813 is an era of profound changes for Germany. The old empire is crumbling, dilapidated political forms are disappearing, peoples are united into a relatively small number of kingdoms and duchies; the horizon is expanding, and the ideas of freedom and equality are spreading along the way of the French troops. In the book we find special chapters devoted to the history of such countries: Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Spain, the Romance countries of South and Central America, Hindustan, Persia, Afghanistan, Turkey, China, Japan, Korea, dominions and the most significant colonies of European countries, such as Australia, Canada, India, South Africa, Egypt, Indo-China, Algeria, etc. The history of all these countries is presented briefly, but accurately and very informative. The book gives the reader a lively, coherent, literarily executed exposition of the entire vast mass of the most complex political events of the nineteenth century in all European countries, but also a very informative, for all its brevity, characteristic of such phenomena of world culture as literature, music, painting, sculpture, architecture, and the development of scientific knowledge. The book presents appendices: chronological tables, nominal and material indicators about Important Persons and events, bibliography. Also in the book there is a map of "Europe by 1810".
