The task of the book – based on the analysis of international relations in successive epochs – is to present a brief history of diplomacy from time to our time. The History of Diplomacy is the first experience of Marxist work in this field and on this scale. When compiling the book, primary sources were used – diplomatic documents, historical monuments, memoir literature. The book was intended for the Soviet intelligentsia, party activists, propagandists, lecturers, history teachers, military workers, students of higher educational institutions.
