The purpose of this book is to serve as a guide in the study of the elements of higher mathematics for those who have to work with applications of mathematics in natural sciences, engineering and social sciences. The mathematics course provides a basis for familiarization with three basic mathematical concepts: the concept of numbers, equations and functions. In addition to arithmetic and algebra, the course also includes geometry and trigonometry. This course provides an overview of these concepts.
