Annotation:

This book is a course in descriptive geometry, presented on a theoretical basis. Chapter I outlines the geometric foundations of the Monge method and axonometry. Such a basis is the affine transformation and the concept of the relationship of figures, which are presented in a completely elementary form in the First introductory chapter of the book. Chapter II contains an exposition of the Monge method, and in parallel with the usual elementary methods of solving problems, their geometric essence is established. It is shown that each of them, according to its geometric content, boils down to finding the corresponding elements in one or another affine correspondence of two planes. Chapter III contains an exposition of the basics of axonometry, also based on the properties of affine correspondence. Chapter IV contains the basic concepts and the simplest questions about linear perspective.
