The novel tells about the socio-economic situation of the Kazakh people before the second half of the XIX century and the October Revolution, about working conditions, universal exploitation, the opening of a coal quarry in Karaganda, about the beginning of the formation of Kazakh working groups, about attracting new Kazakh poor people, and Russians, Ukrainians from Uralsk, to work together against difficult conditions life, awareness of their true goals, as well as their beginning of confrontation with the Russian capitalists and the Kazakh rich, which illustrates the development of the number and awareness of the people.
