Annotation:

In the proposed work, the author establishes the foundations on which the theoretical study of the longitudinal stability of an aircraft should be based. For this, it is necessary to have formulas that determine, first of all, the lifting force and the moment of air pressure on a wing moving in any variable motion. This question is solved by the author for the case of a flat flow, provided that the circulation is constant. The final magnitude of the swing will introduce some inductive resistance, which will have to be calculated using the Prandtl method, although, however, it is not completely applicable for unsteady motion. In this book, the author has given formulas that give the resultant and moment of pressure on an infinite wing moving in variable motion and having, in addition to translational velocity, any rotational motion.
