"Syrdarya" is a novel that tells about the fate of the Kazakh people. The author, Sabit Mukanov, in his book describes the lives of ordinary people, their struggle for survival and their desire to preserve their identity in the face of change and historical turbulence. The novel emphasizes the importance of traditions, culture and history for the formation of personality and society as a whole. The main idea is that even in difficult times, people find the strength to preserve their culture and dignity. The work describes the human image of the hero – farmer Syrbai, who brought Syrdarya rice to life, the existence of a culture that the author did not see. Also in the novel, along with the image of a farmer, the painstaking work of ordinary workers in a remote village during the war years, equal to the feat, is truthfully illustrated. In the novel "Syrdarya", the Syrdarya River plays an important symbolic role. This river is one of the largest in Central Asia and is of great importance to local residents. In the novel, she is often referred to as a symbol of renewal, life and the changes that occur over time.
