Sabit Mukanov is a famous Kazakh writer, public figure, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. He worked especially hard in the fields of drama, criticism, literary criticism. He wrote more than 200 literary critical articles. He studied Kazakh oral literature, collected folklore and ancient written heritage, studied and wrote works on the history of literature and the work of the enlightened Democrats, and spoke extensively about the largest representatives of folk poetry. The book presents poems by Sabit Mukanov.
