The book mainly contains materials from an ordinary school course in geometry on a plane, but its content goes beyond the existing programs. This is an encyclopedia of elementary geometry, standing at the level of modern science and written by an outstanding mathematician. Characteristic of the book is the consistent use, starting with the simplest theorems, of one of the main ideas of modern geometry - the idea of geometric transformation; the doctrine of the projective properties of second-order curves, groups of rotations and the anallagmatic properties of circles in space. And there is also a rich collection of exercises: calculation tasks and construction tasks, all other exercises are exercises for proving theorems.
