Annotation:

The proposed course under the general title "Encyclopedia of Mathematics" approximately gives the content of those lectures on the basics of analysis that the author has been reading for a number of years at the 1st and 2nd courses of the Faculty of Mathematics of Moscow University. This course contains the following topics: introduction to analysis; differential calculus; theory of indefinite integrals. The book presents the material that a beginner must learn before he begins regular classes in higher analysis, so that in these classes his thought is not distracted by side explanations. The course contains five chapters that sufficiently fill up the gap between the area given by the elementary mathematics course and the area given by university teaching.
