Annotation:
Russian Russian and Ukrainian culture's outstanding achievements include the printing and artistic traditions of the famous Russian and Ukrainian first printer Ivan Fedorov, who many years ago laid the foundation for the great business of printing in Ukraine. The high level of printing and artistic design of Ivan Fedorov's publications has been a model for many generations of Russian printers for several centuries. During his life, Ivan Fedorov and his assistants published 13 bibliographic separate editions. Such a number is known to science today. This book examines the publications of Ivan Fedorov, the sources that fed his creativity and the skills of the masters who worked with the first printer, and traces the practical value of his artistic heritage for many generations of domestic printers. In the landscape part, where the material is distributed by types of book elements, in chronological order and by editions, all graphic decorations (screensavers, endings, plot engravings, patterned initials), samples of knitting and old-print fonts are reproduced. The album is provided with a detailed index. The work is designed for masters of book design, specialists in printing, publishing, and wide circles of admirers of the art of books.
