Annotation:

Beyond the North Wind is a children's fantasy novel by Scottish writer George MacDonald. The book tells the story of a boy named Diamond. He is a very sweet little boy who rejoices wherever he goes. He fights despair and despondency and brings peace to his family. One night, while trying to fall asleep, Diamond repeatedly plugs a hole in the elevator wall to keep the wind out. However, he soon discovers that this prevents the North Wind from seeing through her window. Diamond has befriended her, and the North Wind allows him to fly with her, sending him on several adventures. In this book, MacDonald touches on many theological and philosophical issues, especially those related to theodicy.
